On Wednesday 16th of February, the Hispano Soc screened "La ley de Herodes", a hilarious, outrageous political farse set in a tiny Mexican town in 1949.  Damián Alcázar stars as Juan Vargas, a junkyard operator who is recruited as a temporary mayor following the demise of the latest corrupt town leader.  At first, Vargas is the ideal politician: he’s honest, desperate and not terribly ambitious – or so it seems.  But eventually, Vargas gives in to overwhelming temptation, bribery, and even violence in this brilliant, tongue-in-cheek story about government treachery. On Wednesday 9th of February the Hispano Soc screened the movie "El ángel exterminador". This film narrates the story of a group of bourgeois who, after having a formal dinner and a lovely evening, decide to go back to their respective houses, but apparently, for an inexplicable reason, they are unable to leave the room in which they are. As the time passes by and they remain inside of the room, their behavior changes and the correctness disappears. Leave your opinion on "El otro lado de la cama"!

On Wednesday 19th of January.the Hispano Soc screened the movie "El otro lado de la cama", a hilarious comedy in which the idea of betrayal is highly developed. In the story, Sonia and Javier have been living for long as a couple and Pedro and Paula have just split up. Paula is in love with someone else: Javier, Pedro's best friend. The situation is really uncomfortable when Javier and Pedro find out that Javier is with Paula and Pedro is with Sonia. It seems that everything is going to end up normally, but is love and sex, things do not finish in a regular way. We hope you leave your opinion!
