On Wednesday 17th of November, the Hispano Soc screened "Voces inocentes" narrates the story of Chava (Carlos Padilla), an 11 years old child who becomes head of the household after his father abandons them during Civil War in El Salvador. In the 80s, the government recruited 12 years old children to fight on the front line. Chava has a year left to be taken to war against the rebels of FMLN (Frente Marabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional). Chava's life becomes a survival game. With his mother's love (Leonor Varela) as the only weapon, Chava finds the courage to keep his spirit alive in the hard times they both have to go through.
